SafeMeet is an iOS app built for the real world. No data selling, no hidden agendas—just a tool designed to bring you home safely.
We built SafeMeet because we noticed a flaw in how most people handle personal safety. We rely on text messages like "Text me when you get home" or "If I'm not back in an hour, call me."
The problem is, humans forget. Phones die. Signals drop. And by the time someone realizes you haven't texted back, hours might have passed.
We wanted an app that automates that promise. An app that never forgets to check on you.
Why We Built This App
The App Store is full of "panic buttons." These apps assume you have the time, the focus, and the physical ability to unlock your phone and press a button while you are in danger.
SafeMeet flips the script. Instead of waiting for you to signal for help, SafeMeet waits for you to signal that you are safe. If you don't check in, the app assumes you need help and alerts your contacts for you.
The Truth About Verification
We are currently developing a robust Verified Badge system using secure third-party ID verification. However, transparency is our priority, and we want to set the record straight on how this will work.
Identity Cannot Be Bought
We will never sell verification badges. You cannot pay us to "boost" your trust score or alter your verification status. Verification is a security process, not a product.
Furthermore, verification proves humanity, not sanity. A verified badge means a user is a real person with a real ID. It does not guarantee they are safe, kind, or compatible. Verification will never be forced, though we recommend it for a safer community.
SafeMeet is strictly a utility for your phone. It uses your GPS, gyroscope, and battery sensors to monitor your safety during a session. Your data stays on your device until an emergency triggers an alert.
Our Promise to Users
We are a small team of developers, not a massive data conglomerate.
- Your location is yours. We don't sell it to advertisers. We don't track you when the app is off.
- Safety shouldn't be a luxury. The core features—check-ins and alerts—are free. Our premium tier exists solely to cover the cost of SMS texts and cloud storage.
- Real Tech. We use native iOS "Critical Alerts" so SafeMeet can break through Silent Mode in an emergency.
